
ZOZO Championship @ Sherwood CC - Round Two is Today
Sebastian Muñoz shot an eight-under (64) to take the first round lead at the ZOZO Championship. He leads Tyrrell Hatton and Justin Thomas by a stroke as they each carded seven-under (65). Thomas finished with an Eagle-Birdie-Birdie.
Muñoz recorded two eagles en route to holding his fourth 18-hole lead/co-lead on the tour.
Five golfers are T-4 at six-under (66).
Tournament Notes After R-1
Following his T-3 at the CJ CUP @ Shadow Creek last weekend in Vegas, Tyrrell Hatton sits T-2 with 7-under (65).
Five golfers recorded bogey-free rounds; Abraham Ancer (67), Patrick Cantlay (67), Mackenzie Hughes (67), Mark Hubbard (67), Jason Day (68).
Brian Harman is T-4 with a six-under (66) and recorded five consecutive birdies on Nos. 2-6, tying for career-best birdie streak on the tour.
Tiger Woods carded a 4-over (76) for his worst round at Sherwood Country Club.
Gary Woodland was forced to withdraw after six holes, including three birdies on his front nine (26). A back injury was noted as his reason for the WD.
