
Justin Thomas is in pursuit of his 14th PGA Tour victory as he holds the 54-hole lead/co-lead for the 14th time in his PGA career. At (-19), Thomas leads 11 players who are within four strokes of the lead heading into today’s final round at the Sherwood CC in Thousand Oaks, California.
Tournament Notes
Jon Rahm is in 2nd place (-18) after shooting a 63 on Saturday. He started his Saturday round 6-under through his first seven holes, a feat he’s accomplished four times in his PGA Tour career.
Talk about hot-cold? Lanto Griffin opened his R-3 with four consecutive birdies, a first in his PGA Tour career but finished with bogeys on two of his final four holes. He now sits in 3rd place at (-17).
Sebastian Muñoz, the leader after 18-holes, rebounded in R-3 with a six-under (66) that included birdies on two of his last three holes. He leads the field with (23) birdies after three rounds.
Saturday’s R-3 at the ZOZO Championship @ Sherwood saw six golfers record bogey-free rounds. Jon Rahm (63), Russell Henley (63), Chan Kim (67), Patrick Cantlay (68), Alex Noren (68), Tyler Duncan (72). Cantlay is a Long Beach, California native and attended college up the road at UCLA.
Golfers will tee-off for today’s final round at 9:38am (Local)/12:38pm (ET) and the leaders will tee-it-up at 11:50am (Local)/2:50pm (ET).
