
ZOZO Championship at Sherwood CC
Seven-under was the popular score in R-2 of the ZOZO Championship at Sherwood Country Club in Thousand Oaks, California on Friday. Thirteen golfers, including the top five on the leaderboard all shot 7-under (65). Justin Thomas (65-65 - 130) is at 14-under and holds the lead over Dylan Frittelli and Lanto Griffin (66-65) both T-2 at (-13).
Thomas has won four of seven events when shooting (130) or better through the first 36 holes of a PGA Tour event.

Players will tee-off at 9:58am (Local)/12:58pm (ET) today and the leaders are scheduled for tee times at 12:10pm (Local)/3:10pm (ET).
Eighteen players had bogey-free rounds on Friday with a scoring average of 67.87 which is a new course record at Sherwood. Previous low was 69.27 back at the 2002 Hero World Challenge.

Tiger Woods is T-66 after a bounce-back 6-under (66) to make up for his opening-round (76). That difference in scoring ties the best improvement between R-1 and R-2 in his PGA Tour career.

Sportico takes a look at the made-for-tv match featuring the NBA on TNT and Basketball Hall of Famer Charles Barkley who will join GS Warriors All-Star Steph Curry, NFL legend Peyton Manning and PGA Tour pro Phil Mickelson on Friday, Nov. 27 at Stone Canyon Golf Club in Oro Valley, Arizona. The event’s official name is Capital One’s The Match 3: Champions for Change and there are enough supporting sponsors to fill 18 holes of tee signage.
The event will help raise scholarship money for historically black colleges (HBCUs).
