While there’s a glut of e-News flooding your inbox every morning, PGA Tour Lunch will provide you with some interesting reading at lunchtime. It is designed to be no more than two or three screen scrolls on your mobile device. We are not affiliated with the PGA Tour or any tournament but rather an independent news outlet. As we continue through beta testing, we will offer a limited amount of advertising and partnerships.
After initial testing here, this will eventually become a stand-alone subscription-based e-Newsletter. We are considering expansion to the NBA and other sports. Boston-based @SoxLunch is a sister publication.
TOURNAMENT NOTES
Sergio Garcia, the winner of last week’s Sanderson Farms Championship, is competing again this week and is making his first start at TPC Summerlin since 2003 … Defending champion Kevin Na, a Las Vegas native, will try for back-to-back titles here at the Shriners Hospital for Children Open. Only Jim Furyk has won back-to-back titles at this tourney … Reigning major champions Bryson DeChambeau (US Open) and Collin Morikawa (PGA Championship) are both in the field … Morikawa is a resident of Las Vegas … This week’s field includes all four winners from tournaments of the 2020-21 PGA Tour season thus far, including: Stewart Cink (Safeway Open); Bryson DeChambeau (US Open); Hudson Swafford (Puntacana Resort & Club Championship, DR) and Sergio Garcia (Sanderson Farms Championship).
