@PGATourBrunch - Snedeker Leads after 18 holes
Second Round of the Vivint Houston Open is Underway
Brandt Snedeker shot a five-under (65) highlighted by birdies at the 13th, 15th and 16th holes to take the 18-hole lead of the Vivint Houston Open at newly renovated Memorial Park in Houston, Texas. He leads six players who all shot three-under (67).
Scottie Scheffler walked to the 18th tee ready to post a four-under (66). Instead, he posted his only bogey of the day and dropped a stroke to join the six way T-2.
Play was suspended for darkness and will continue just as we post this early-bird brunch edition of PGA Tour Brunch at 7:30am EST. Only nine players were on the course as darkness fell. Round 2 tee times should begin about 7:45am EST.

STARTER TEE TIMES: Camilo Villegas, Doc Redman and Sam Burns will tee-off No. 1 at 6:45am (local)/7:45am (EST) while Scott Stallings, Bronson Burgoon and Robby Shelton knock ‘em off at No. 10 to start Round 2 on Friday.

WHEN HE’S HOT, HE’S HOT: The last time Snedeker held the 18-hole lead/co-lead on tour, he won wire-to-wire at the 2018 Wyndham Championship after a first-round 59.
HOLE-in-ONE: Martin Laird make a hole-in-one at the Vivint Houston Open for the second consecutive year, acting the par three 2nd Hole. Laird shot two over (72) and is T-63 with the likes of Brooks Koepka, Lanto Griffin, Henrik Stenson, Stewart Cink and Dustin Johnson. In his first start at the Houston Open since 2016, Johnson, the reigning FedExCup champion and world No. 1, opened with his 2-over (72). DJ started on No. 10 and had five bogeys on his first nine.
T-2: Reigning PGA Tour Rookie of the Year Scheffler and former World No. 1 Jason Day are among the group tied for 2nd.
There were no players to go bogey-free in the first round.
The cutline is targeted at +2.
